Abbie Grey’s appetite for social entrepreneurship flourished in the 2010s, through her sustainability blog Student Conscious and Reporting Venture Green Innovation. When studying Information Science in New Zealand, designing engagement rings, and selling Patagonia to loyalists in Takapuna, Grey fell in love with the idea that business could be purpose driven. This early blend of creativity and problem solving shaped the way she approaches business today: understanding both the human story behind the idea and the practical systems needed to make it succeed.
From there, Grey moved into financial services, working with a boutique firm before joining one Australia’s big-four banks, leading a complex remediation programme and delivering technology, risk and SOx compliance related transformation projects, gaining experience navigating large-scale regulatory change, governance and operational improvement.
Moving to the UK in 2023, Grey transitioned into freelance management consulting, working across domiciliary care, retail, fintech and more. Grey supported organisations through periods of change, helping teams solve complex problems, improve processes and create sustainable ways of working.
Alongside her consulting career, Grey has always been driven to build ventures with purpose. She founded Parsley and Twine, a social enterprise creating meaningful retail products designs to support people affected by cancer, combining design, storytelling and social impact.
More recently, Grey has brought her experience in entrepreneurship and community development to Alderney, working as part of a consultancy partnership supporting local enterprise encouraging entrepreneurship and helping attract new ideas and opportunities to the island.
Today, Grey works with founders, organisations and private clients, providing strategic advice, business support and a trusted perspective for those looking to grow, adapt or bring ambitious ideas to life.
